In 1993, Errol Brandt, then a graduate accountant at Nestlé, inadvertently brought down the company's mainframe while seeking information that standard reports could not provide. The incident underscored a persistent problem: business-critical insights were locked behind slow, opaque systems.
Over the next three decades—and through numerous factory turn-around programmes—Brandt and long-time collaborator Deena observed the same pattern across industries: data trapped in cumbersome tools, frontline teams overwhelmed by dashboards, and productivity in steady decline.
In 2022 the pair dedicated themselves full-time to solving this challenge. The outcome is Kiraa and its patent-pending Cache-Augmented Generation (CAG) engine, capable of distilling 70 million calculations per month into clear, actionable guidance delivered conversationally.
Within weeks of launching version 1, Kiraa secured its first foundation customer on a three-year enterprise agreement. Today, Kiraa supports organisations in manufacturing, retail, mining and banking—helping leaders make better decisions, faster.
